Match Preview Round 3: Dingos vs. Eagles

Hot off the heels from their round one win against the Rebels and well rested after their first bye of the season, the Toronto Dingos will be looking to make it two from two this weekend when they play the Eagles at Humber.

The Dingos be will welcoming some more new faces for the first time this year after a strong off-season of recruiting. Keegan Hogarth, Jaxon Ian, Oliver Howell will pull on the Dingos jumper for the first time this Saturday, whilst a number of old faces will also return to the line up for the Dingos second match of the season.

The Eagles will also be looking to continue their winning ways, after they edged out the Hamilton Wildcats last week in a close match 51-48, setting up for what will be a ripping day of footy.

Last Time They Met... The Dingos walked away with a 5 goal win in the 2023 preliminary final, defeating the Eagles 10.6 (66) to 4.9 (33). After a tightly contested first half where the Eagles held a slender lead, the Dingos put on one of their best quarters for the season with 2023 AFLO Rookie Of The Year Matteo Lugarini kicking three goals to help the Dingos break away. Captain Mike Bocian and now Vice-Captain Brad Wooten, ensured the Eagles could do no more damage, setting up a brick wall in defense and repelling the Eagles attacks.
